Latest testimonial: 11/04/2012 - A1 Driving School is a very good driving school, Mona is a very friendly, understanding, patient and helpful driving instructor. I would recommend her to any person who needs driving lessons as I learnt lots from her Kelly, Matua

The new give way rules are almost there!

Be prepared on 25 March to new give way rules take effect, that means a significant change in the way we were used to behave in traffic. Now is the time to prepare yourself, below you will find the main change, go to the FAQ to find answers to other situations.

1_give-way-left-v-right-turn-both-facing-give-way From 25 March 2012 the vehicle that turns right has to give way.

An easy way to remember is that the one with the shortest corner has right of way.

As Tauranga’s oldest driving school we are still focused on delivering the best driver training possible. Emphasize on quality and confidence. A confident driver is a safe driver.

I’ve always been passionate about driving and teaching others how to drive. At the age of 20 I was schooled in The Netherlands to be a certified driving instructor. I have build up a lot of experience (15 years) in teaching in the busy and hectic traffic in Holland. During my career I’ve specialised in training students who lack confidence and to train students with special needs. It gives me great pleasure to see them change and become safe and confident drivers.

After arrival in New Zealand I’ve done the New Zealand training as well to become a certified instructor. Once the opportunity crossed my path to take over A1 driving school I could not let is pass.

Please have a look at our web site, but contact me if you have any questions I’m happy to answer them.

    Regards,

    Mona
